Responsibilities of the Secretariat

The Ministry Secretariat performs duties of common interest to the Ministry related to:

  • personnel, general legal, analytical, organisational, professional, operational, statistical, record-keeping, financial-material and office issues;
  • compiling a draft Internal Organisation Rulebook for the Ministry;
  • drafting documents outlining individual employee rights in the Ministry;
  • documenting working relations;
  • planning and implementing the Ministry budget, and preparing the Ministry's financial plan for the current year;
  • defining a work programme and the development of human potential, and their implementation;
  • professional courses in fields within the ministry's jurisdiction; accessibility of information of public importance;
  • procurement of equipment, professional literature, office material etc., and implementing public procurement for the Ministry's needs;
  • organising equipment repair, as well as other duties in the Secretariat's purview.
